Poem

I’d like to call where I live home

I used to live just near here
Made memories so dear near here
I’ve returned the pleasures all mine

I want to bring the old and new together
Old and new memories, so they intertwine
Say to the old come to mine come and dine

When i lived near here decade or so ago
When i was so young, coldnt spel yeet
Back in the day before the gift of spell check (i learnt )

I don’t have space where i live, to have guests
Because where I live the days seem to linger and I let them
Time, day, year forget them.

Where I live begs to be tidied
I through things at the floors, muffle the sound so
Instead I hear it say, hide me

Looking out the window at rows
I think I’ve got my neighbours sussed
Or I would but here and there we all rush

Where I live? Or is it where life
Lives and draws me nearer to death
As if I’m not capable of living any where

Where I live I will soon think
During some unrelated mundane time
Like when washing dishes at the sink

I’ve been here and its seems everywhere in-between
Lived in places dry grey places bright and green
What does where I live mean to me

The thought a bitter drink
Watering other thoughts deeply sown
I’d like to call where I live home
