Poem
Wind of Peace
Awake,O north and south winds;
and come,O east and west winds!
Blow upon my friend,
act as a guard and as a guide to her .
Let her feel smug.
Awake,O north and south winds;
and come,O east and west winds!
Bring your peace,joy and happiness upon my friend,
let her touch and feel your beauty;
and let your beauty make her sightly.
Awake,O north and south winds;
and come,O east and west winds!
Blow around my friend,
shower your beauty upon her,
comely and gently.
Awake,O north and south winds;
and come,O east and west winds!
Blow upon my friend garden,
let its fragrance be wafted abroad.
Let my friend come to her garden,
and eat its choicest fruits.
Eat,O my friend,and drink:
drink and eat deeply,O my friend.
I adjure you,O north,south,east and west winds;
blow upon my friend,
and provide her heart desires.
What is your friend more than other friend,
that you thus adjure us?
My friend is all radiant and ruddy,
distinguished among women.
She is a quintessence of beauty,
come as a dove,
terrible as an army with banners.
When she move around,the maidens
called her happy;
the kings and queens also,
and they praised her.
She looks like the dawn,fair as the moon,
bright as the sun and shine as the stars,
terrible as an army with banners.
This is my friend,my perfect one,is only one,
the darling of her mother,
flawless to her that bore her.
